At the lower elevations on the Express UUBar Ranch there are several small lakes to fish for Brown Trout and Rainbows. The Miami Lagoons are full of Northern Pike, a unique opportunity for fishing in New Mexico.

Packages includes access to boats, trolling motors, sporting clays, choice of lodging and meals prepared by Chef Ralph Knighton, former Chef for Governor Keating.

Fishing for pike requires special gear, so check in with The Reel Life at 505-995-8114 to find out what you will need to make your experience a successful one. Booking for fishing at the Express UUBar Ranch must be made through The FlyBook found on the Reservations page of this Web site. There will be a few LPFFC hosted trips that may prove to be an exception and in that case instructions for these trips will be specified when announced.

The high alpine country holds three of the Ranch's most popular lakes. At 9,400 feet, Ojo Lake is stocked with a majority of Rainbows and a few Brown Trout. Ojo Lake is surrounded by tall timber and grassy shores. The modern log cabin set along side of the shore sleeps up to 8 people.

Aqua Fria Lake is the Ranch's largest high country lake. This lake is stocked with Rainbows and Borwn Trout. An angler can easily fish from shore or take out one of the two boats with trolling motors. There is a fully furnished cabin nestled near the banks that sleeps 14.

Main Lodge with dining facilities and sleeping accomodations.

Fish for rainbow trout, brown trout and pike. The staff will clean your catch and your fish will be ready to take home for a delectable meal. Then relax at the main lodge and enjoy your evening sharing stories with the other guests as you sit down to a truly wonderful dinner in this handsome rustic environment. For additional information, visit the Web site of the Express UUBar Ranches www.expressuubar.com.

Take time for a round of sporting clays or perhaps some target practice at the rifle range.

Then think about exploring the big game opportunities that the Express UUBar offers for Rocky Mountain elk, mule deer, antelope, turkey, bear and mountain lion.

Consider coming back  to the Express UUBar Ranch for its upland bird program and hunt for quail, pheasant and grouse.
